Ma’ukele lives inside a raw ceramic vessel with a natural green glaze, evoking the dramatic mountain peaks of the Hawaiian Islands. This unique design is created by hand-painting a resist (negative) pattern on the vessel exterior, prior to glazing. Our ceramic vessels are created by skilled artisans in Hasami, Japan

Every Miza candle arrives in an elegant wood box crafted from Paulownia, a fast-growing tree native to East Asia. A wood lid is also included to help preserve and protect the candle when not in use.
